Description
This straightener can be used on both wet and dry hair. • Wash and condition your hair as usual. • Squeeze out the water with a towel and comb through. • Section the hair before styling. Style the bottom layers first. • Plug in the device. • When the device is plugged into the wall outlet but still switched off, a lock symbol will appear on the display indicating that the device is in standby mode. • Switch on the device by pressing and holding the On button. A warning tone sounds. Dry hair mode – used on dry hair • Before use, hair should be dry, clean and combed through. • Dry mode is the default setting when you turn on the styler, the display backlight is white. • To use the styler on wet hair, see “Wet Mode” below. 1. Select the appropriate temperature for your hair using the +/- controls on the side of the device. Use the lower temperature setting when you start styling. 2. “+” raises the temperature and “-” lowers the temperature. 3. The temperature shown on the display stops flashing and the device beeps three times when it is ready to use. 4. Move the straightener along one strand of hair at a time along the entire length of the hair without stopping. 5. After use, press and hold the power switch for two seconds to turn off, then unplug the appliance. Wet hair mode – used on towel-dried hair. • Dry hair thoroughly with a towel before styling. • Do not use on wet hair. 1. Press and hold the ‘+’ button for 2 seconds to activate wet mode. 2. The device beeps, the display turns blue and the symbol appears. 3. The moisture sensor quickly adjusts the temperature of the plates during each movement, based on how wet the hair is. It ensures that the plates are always at an optimal temperature, which prevents wear. These temperature changes are not shown on the straightener but happen automatically when styling. • IMPORTANT: During use, make sure that the ventilation holes are directed away from the face, neck and scalp. When you straighten wet hair, a sizzling light is heard and the device steams. This is good – it means that excess water from the hair evaporates and it does not damage the hair. 4. Move the straightener along one strand of hair at a time along the entire length of the hair without stopping. Repeat if necessary until the section of hair is dry. 5. Deactivate by pressing “+” for 2 seconds.
