Description
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Before you start cutting • Inspect the clipper and make sure it is free of hair and dirt. • Position the person so that his/her head is approximately at your eye level. • Before cutting, always comb your hair so that it is tangle-free and dry. ATTACHING A COMB (Fig. A) • Hook the front of an accessory comb onto the serrated front. • Push the back of the comb down until the tab clicks into place. REMOVING A COMB • Push the tab upwards to release the comb. • Once the tab has been released, you can pull the comb away from the clipper and unhook the front of the blade. INSTRUCTIONS WHEN CUTTING HAIR • For an even cut, the comb accessory/blade should cut forward through the hair. Don’t force it faster. If you are mowing for the first time, start with the maximum height of the comb attachment. STEP 1 – Neckline • Attach the 3mm or 6mm fixed comb • Hold the clipper with the blade teeth pointing upwards. Start at the center of the head at the base of the neck. • Lift the clipper slowly, working upwards and outwards through the hair, trimming only a little at a time. STEP 2 – The sides and back of the head • With the 3mm or 6mm measuring comb fitted (if a shorter cut is desired) start by moving the comb from the base of the neck on one side of the head, around the back and over to the other side. Work the cutting comb flat against the head in an upward motion until you are about halfway up the sides and back of the head. • Then switch to the next measuring comb (if you used 3mm in the previous step, now use 6mm) and continue cutting towards the top of the head, on either side and the back of the head. 9. STEP 3 – TOP OF THE HEAD • Use the longer measuring combs between 16mm – 25mm as desired to cut the hair on the top of the head in the opposite direction of the hair’s natural growth direction. • Alternatively, you can use scissors. Decide how much you want to cut off the lengths. Hold this amount of hair between the index and middle fingers so that the hair to be cut sticks up between the fingers. • Starting at the front of the head, cut sections along the length of the hair. Be careful not to cut your fingers. Cutting sections of hair gives the hairstyle a structured look. • Working with the back of the top of the head, move your fingers as you work your way through the hair, blending in longer lengths of hair on the back and sides that have already been trimmed with the clipper. STEP 45 – The Finish • Use the hair clipper without any accessory comb for a precise trim of the nape. • Turn the clipper over to get a clean, straight line on the sideburns. Place the inverted clipper at right angles to the head and allow the tip of the blade to lightly touch the skin, then work downwards. Short cut and crew cuts • Start with the longest fixed comb (25 mm) and cut from the nape to the top of the head. Hold the spacer comb flat against the head and slowly move the clipper through the hair
